Hey sorry it didn't work out but you tried. And now you can probably know yourself more and well be ready for the next one.

i read somewhere to allow the people in our lives to lead us to the person we are meant to be with (with regards to widows it was specific). One of the things about dating is that its dating, getting to know someone, you just cannot put to much into it until you do know. for me, that has been a great challenge, having been a wife so long, believing in a "connection" when time together really does help the connection. I have learned many things and its only been 27 months...great teachers are the frogs we meet along the way

We do have to meet some toads along the way...at least I did. It was so strange but early on I was looking for exactly what I lost and thought I would be settling for less if I did not find exactly the same kind of love and kind of person. Then as time went by and my heart healed more and more I realized that I was not looking for another Denny. I needed to meet someone for whom they were and who I now am. I am not the same person that I was either. Then I met Craig. He is so not Denny! As a matter of fact they couldn't be more different and our love couldn't be more different. It is still wonderful and beautiful in a different way. One hole has to heal and a new love has to take on a new and different shape considering the two people involved. One really has nothing to do with the other. What does have to do with it though is that as able as we are to feel love deeply...to give and receive love in our hearts is as able as we will be to feel love deeply and to give and receive love down the roads....

When I was about 6 years old I found a frog and showed it to my Dad. He convinced me that if I kissed it, it would turn into a prince. He snickered. I kissed it. Lesson learned that day, never trust what a man says. Watch his actions.

Mel, mine is too. He got tired of me moving so slow.. He moved on to someone who would jump into bed...lol

I don't know why but the vision of when we are kids, going to the lake. That first step into the water feels so cold, shocking even. But as wen persevere and go deeper a bit, splashing small amounts, until we become used to it. The before long we are playing and swimming...it's just refreshing, no longer cold at all..

Congrats on getting your toes wet, to you both(Sandee too) I'm still watching from the sand.
