HOPEFUL HEARTS...LIVING AGAIN AFTER THE LOSS Community Group
We are a group of people who have grieved the loss of a spouse, partner, or lover and are searching for a life without our mate. Some looking for their own identity as an individual or finding a life for themself. Some looking for companionship or a serious relationship with someone new. And some just feeling lost and unsure. We offer encouragement, support and virtual...
Blessings - it is a long and sometimes bumpy road we travel.

Another take on this is that men and women eat out together all the time and being with a woman in public doesn't mean we are serious. My hubby used to take his women friends out for lunch every now and then and it was perfectly fine with me. I don't think there is the stigma of infidelity when we see a single man with a woman who is wearing wedding rings. I would wonder more if the rings had been removed and there was a definite ring line around her finger where the ring had just recently been removed open to the sunlight. Anyway, thanks for your comments. I will leave it on and tell him that it will be there until and unless someone I may fall in love with asks me to remove it so he can put his ring on my finger. Thanks, again, all!
Also some casual acquaintances seeing my wedding ring made a small talk with some comments about marriage or asking something about my husband.... and every time it was like a sting to my heart.
Without blaming them, I come to realize, the ring was a part of my life that was not here anymore....
What is more, when I became bombarded with my daily responsibilities, financial issues, house or car repairs, making major decision on my own, I also became extremely aware I am not married anymore. It is what it is, and I accepted it.
I placed my wedding ring into a memory box.
Fortunately I have another beautiful ring from my husband, which he gave me before he passed, so I am wearing it on my middle finger, and It is soothing to know that ring is from him.
