I found it important in these nearly 4 years to not think of each date or boyfriend as "the one" and just keep focused on enjoying the day.
Just as in life it seems Dating sites offer a variety of people, not all of them are truthful, well meaning and not all are "wonderful" and yet of course, not all bad.
Being prepared to go through the good and not so good and the "oh My God" moments is important in my opinion.
That being said, so many people meet a great love online

So if you're trying a site and don't get many responses, don't get discouraged - it's not YOU.
I found it so depressing, never seeing replies from people, until a friend who used the sites explained this to me.

To repeat my advice, remember you don't need anyone to complete you or make you happy. You can find happiness inside you after searching your heart and then share it with the people you meet. Sharon
Match was a total waste for me..... but I met several nice men on Senior People Meet, including my current husband of 3.5 years.
One thing I learned is that you can't sit back and wait for the man to contact you all the time...... they are often just as nervous and shy about this whole process as your are.
I saw a picture of a nice looking man with snow white hair and a great smile. I impulsively sent him a "flirt" and, long story short, we've been married now for 3.5 years.
