I am really not busy with life. Just a bit depressed. Yesterday would have been his 69th birthday. July 3rd would have been our 50th Anniversary. Hits harder than I thought it would. Sandee

Sorry to hear that you are depressed Sandee. So am I. Next Monday would have been our 48th anniversary. I'm dreading the day already. I will be celebrating in a way....going to the dentist! LOL Then my birthday next month....alone..... Wish we lived closer and could help and/or mope around together. What we need are a couple of Prince Charmings, driving up in their Corvettes and sweeping us off to some far off romantic places......yeah right. Like that's going to happen! Hugs, Darlene

Sandee - sorry to hear about your sadness and these 'special dates' - in August, it would have been my 25th with Rob... but I'm never going to have a silver wedding now. Just the thought of that makes me really sad.

Yes, Jac, handymen with pickups are also appreciated! I never realized how much my husband did around the house until he isn't here to do it anymore. He also fought all the battles. Could sure use his help with the problem I'm having with Home Depot and Fed Ex right now. A bit of advice.....don't EVER order window or patio door coverings from Home Depot. We had a nightmare with the patio doors a few years ago and I'm going through it again with one little kitchen widow blind! All due to human error. People just don't seem to strive for accuracy anymore. Sorry to vent but I am royally p****sed.

I had a low tire for weeks, couldn't get anyone to look at it. So, finally I went to a air machine outside a quick mart. Stood there and looked at it for while. Finally a kindly gentleman came to see if he could help me. I said I don't know how to do this? He took it away from me. Filled it up, here was none in it... So I thanked him, and went on my cheery way. I figured out if you stand somewhere looking confused, someone will come to your aide, and feel they have done a good deed for the day. Double win. My husband never did anything around here, so I figured that out a long time ago. These times though (I am way older), they don't follow me home anymore...lol Sandee

My family, son his wife their 2 kids, daughter, her husband, her son. (7) are going on vacation on my 50th. Leaving me here to go it alone. So, I am going to go on vacation, at my sons house. He lives 12 miles away in a different town. He has a in ground pool, pool house (a lot nicer than my house). And they will all be gone. So, I told them I was going on vacation at their home. D-I-L said, since you can't swim, stay in the shallow end. lol I have the security alarm number. Am just going to make myself at home...A FREE VACATION...

Sandee thanks for the chuckle. I will have to remember the "helpless female" thing the next time I have a problem with something. Believe me, nobody is going to follow me home either! Most men my age don't move very fast anymore and the younger ones sure have better things to do! lol
