Hello everyone, I'm new to this so please forgive me in advance if I'm posting in the wrong group. My husband passed 4 1/2 years ago and since then my life has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Lately I've been fighting with depression mostly because I can't find a job and being a single mom of a 7 & 6 yo. Boys just keeps getting harder and I feel soo lonely. I have noone to talk to, I've always been the "Strong" one in my family and I'm not allowed to show weakness but I'm soo tired.... I wish for once I could lean on someone else and get some emotional support.

Jeniffer, You are definitely in the right group. It's better 8+ years for me and my children are adults, but the feelings of being tired can still hit. I'm sorry you are struggling without your husband by your side and raising your children alone. I'm constantly thankful for the years we had each other. It must be very difficult to find yourself a single parent so suddenly. Welcome to the group and I hope you find comfort here and a little peace. You have my admiration for the road you travel. Thank you all so much for your kinds words. This is the first time I do something like this and I can already tell it's gonna be good for me to communicate with people that are going through similar circumstances. It's been soo difficult for me to move on with my life. Can't seem to be able to open up my heart for a new relationship, sometimes I feel as I will never find someone who will love and accept me with my boys.

Jeniffer, there are many people to accept you and your boys when the time is right.

I have gone back and forth as to even if i want to remarry. Its after 4 years, I am 50 and for many reasons, finances is a huge one but also adapting to another lifestyle is another. I am content to do things my way.

I do believe after this length of time, i feel sometimes had i been as open as some in a year or two maybe i would have opened my heart up more. With each year I am content dating and living alone with my dog.

Time will allow your mind to become more clear, and if meant your heart to become more open to someone else. I like it in this group because there are a variety of views and desires
