I couldn't wait. I have never been a very patient person but after 18 months of cancer, I couldn't wait to be done with grieving. I couldn't wait to have someone in my life.
My life. My chapter 2 is my daughter and I. It's my home, my career, my interests. It's taking care of me. It's eating healthy, enjoying nature, enjoying laughter and silliness. It's learning patience. It's learning to accept things as they are and be happy with it.
There is nobody in my life of romantic interest. There's only me. I listen for compliments from people on my hair, my make up, my clothes. It may not be from "my man", but it counts! I strive for friendships. I love more deeply and care more about people. I allow myself to be a little eccentric. It doesn't hurt anyone and helps me express myself.
I can wait for a new love. I can wait to complete the process of finding me. I can wait to heal more. I can wait.
