Well, I spent a couple of days with Don, and we had a very nice time. Didn't realize he was such a heavy drinker, but he said something about it, and said he needed to back off. But doesn't really matter now. I had friended him on facebook, and I showed him some of the pictures, and how to use the site, since he wasn't too sure of it. I sent him a message this morning just to say Good Morning, and he texts me back, that I had friended his cousin's husband, and what was up with that. I said What? Who? and didn't get a response. A couple of hours later I texted him, it was driving me crazy, who was it? and isn't it a small world. He text back "Just stop"..
Well, I emailed him, that I couldn't be with anyone, that didn't trust me. I am an open book, and sure wasn't messing around with anyone, and he must have very messy relatives, to suggest I was.
I wasn't sure about him, but thought we were moving in the right direction. Now I know, that I won't see him again.
That leads to a conversation I had with someone from DateHookUp, this afternoon. He seemed like a very nice man, will retire in September. But what do you do, if when you are talking to someone, and they make a racist remark about their co-workers? Everything else seems to be OK, but kind of gives me pause, since I don't even know him, and he says something I find offensive. We haven't made a date to meet, so it might not make a difference. This has happened a couple of times, talking to someone on the phone. I don't know if it's just people from New Orleans, or just my bad luck.

As you continue meeting men you should be able to refine your list of what you will accept and what you won't. My experience tells me that if someone in a fairly new relationship is drinking heavily when they are with you, that means they probably drink even more when they aren't with you.
Racist comments or bigotry of any kind would be a deal-breaker with me. The fact that he's not even aware that someone might be offended by his comments (he just assumes it's okay), speaks volumes. The sooner you can eliminate the toads, the more clear you'll be when your prince comes along. It's tiresome, I know. Keep your chin up! Hugs, Amy
