I proposed to Sue on New Years eve at a private event where she was performing. During one of the slow songs she was singing she grabbed a wireless mic and invited me to dance with her. At the end of the dance I took the microphone from her and told the crowd the story of how last year at this event we had our first dance and our first kiss and then I proposed. She likely knew it was coming but she was still stunned (and said yes).
