Ok ive been toss9up about posting this topic because there is a lot of gray areas snake oil sales men out there when it comes to this stuff. My information comes from experience, the cancer council of Australia and the peter mc hospital wich is a cancer hospital here and the one you get sent to when there's very little hope. Iam in the high risk category for getting it and have already had 3 BBC removed and one lump from my breast. Thats just me my mum is another story. Please be aware that there is lots of different chemotherapy out there and different ways of giving it, and no chemo doesn't always mean hair loss. Its also something that is changing all the time and the amount of reading i do on this is well crazy. Also you can be crazy fit, have a excellent diet and still get. By the way breast cancer isn't a woman's only cancer men can get it as well something like 179 men got it in Victoria in 2016 its something that isn't talked about at all. Cancer has different stages so stage one is well awesome they can do lot for you, stage 2 is well getting problematic but the can do a lot still same with stage 3, stage 4 is the worst stage (wich is what my mum has) they can't do much they can try chemo sometimes it can help (mums case it is) sometimes not normally they can't do a operation, we have been told that my mum should be dead so yeah stage 4 is bad its one of the reasons why i say that people should get checked .
Ok the stuff that does help: baby shampoo even when you loss your hair to chemo
Black nail polish this helps to stop uv light getting to the nails and stops them from breaking down so fast it also means you wont loss them as fast, another chemo side effect
Ginger beer/cordial helps with a upset stomach the anit chuck pills working along side of having a ginger drink.
Asparagus one of the oldest known grasses there is, this stuff lines the stomach and can help with the chemo from damage it
Water lots and lots of water it washes the crap out and keeps everything working its extremely easy to be dehydrate with chemo. If you do become dehydrate hydration salt can help to you can get to a doctor or hospital.
Old fashioned non fancy toothpaste
Don't drink alcohol no really not good.
Night creams as hand Cream believe it or not it works and it helps.
Uti not fun at the best of times but cranberry juice can help, personally we mix it with water.
If your tast buds are effected and yes chemo can do that plastic knifes and forks can help to stop a strange taste you can get.
This is just stuff that we know that works and something the doctor have told us, we already have a healthy diet and lifestyle also the bit between the ears plays lot with stuff, most people who die from cancer it isn't always the cancer but its secondary infection that can kill like a cold, it happened to a friend dad.
Cancer is no longer the death sentence that it once was!! Please remember that and please please get the checks done the faster they can pick things up the better.
I hope that this hasn't upset anyone or triggered anyone i just feel that its something that needs to be talked about.
That's good information.
