I'm no expert, however, my wife has a nutrition degree and is a 'trusted advisor'. Following a few suggestions in my chemo guide, along with maintaining foods high in iron (ie. beef liver ... yes not a fav of many) but it is high in protien & iron to help my RBC and energy. Tuna salad is also good. I also keep plenty of yougart & cottage cheese, wheat crackers, Cliff bars for snacking during chemo. Grape and apple juice are good for me, where I love orange & grapefruit, but they are too acidic and can cause more nuasea. Stay away from anything fried of course. I wish you the best in your treatments ... keep fighting and win the battle!!

from my experience, my foods on bad days were popsicles i loved the lime kind had to have them. I learned to stay away from white flour like saltines or chips/cookies all that tended to make me feel worse. during chemo i kept a jolly rancher or popsicle in my mouth at all times. Ginger Ale is awesome. I liked cereal alot and silk soy milk. yogourt was good i liked the whipps. I ate alot of salads too i liked things that didn't have a strong smell. Fresh fruit was always good. Oh and baked potatoes and eggs were good. Idk if this is the healthiest diet but thats what worked for me.

Having a nutritionist is key. I looked on the web at diets and found about 100 ones that were all canceled out once I went to the nutritionist. I am more than happy to share what she told me to do with anyone. My diet has made me feel fantastic, but I definitely miss some foods, but it is the food that you have on really bad days so it is probably for the best. What I would look up, for produce, is the dirty dozen and the clean fifteen or sometimes they call it the clean dozen. That will help you with buying produce organic or not. Organic produce can be pretty pricey!

my doctor told me eat anything u want to eat but increase liquid uptake that will help you more than anything else .
