I' ve had depression off and on through the decades; and have come to notice the following :
after a sudden improvement with that, i'll be writing fewer notes to myself.
My confidence w everything having increased, my memory is feeling fit as a fiddle
and rarin' to go.
I see googleSearch links which confirm this. When relating memory to PTSD, i think it might be more complicated...but that particular disorder can't help memory, for certain.

Very infrequently during the years have i been depressed.
I sure believe depression can explain a lot. IMO it can dulI the senses; we notice less.

One thing to mention: when we start to talk about topics which are, for us, loaded -- we tend to have less control. Disorganized writing for example. And!... redundancy.
