Welcome BTW!
I was wondering too, when I was very young, I created what I called a "black hole" in my mind, which became a place I could "go to" in my head when tings got too much in my real world. I still do this today.. I'll go "hibernate" in my "cave" or "black hole" and I turn on special lighting, have scented candles burning, play particular kinds of music, and usually either sleep and relax, or write or read something inspiring. Does anyone else have a habit of doing something like this?
Thanks again for the reply.

Now that is the positive interpretation. The negative one would be the black hole where one would hide because their ability to function with the external is low to non existent. This is an entirely different kind of black hole.
I have my own space and I hang in that space when ever I need to. It is a place to revitalize as well as create. It is a space where I am not interrupted by others needs. A place to restore balance and pace. So much of external activities do not align with my pace there for I have to pay attention and create for myself. I would not call this a retreat although the external world might say "retreat" but that is only because my wave length is not in harmony when orchestrated by over stimulation. I need space and there for I cultivate what I need. This is one way or another an internal process.
