Highly Sensitive People HSP Community Group
The highly sensitive person (or HSP) is someone who cares deeply about everything ... feels emotions with great intensity ... is highly conscientious ... has a rich and complex inner life ... is very intuitive ... is often creative in a variety of ways... is easily overwhelmed and/or overstimulated. A HSP needs lots of quiet time, space, and freedom. If this sounds...
I understand how you feel. It is difficult being highly emotional or highly sensitive.
I hope you find it helpful joining our group. There are a lot of caring people here...with a lot of support.
wachit...that is so good to remember!
It is difficult to control emotions... and I am open to suggestions on how to deal with this.
But now, I just see people as selfish and shallow. They will be the first to tell you you are over sensitive or over emotional, butjust try saying even 1/2 of the inconsiderate thing that comes out of there mouth to them. Or try not being 1/2 as considerate with their feelings, and watch them scream , cry and pout! We are put on this earth and told by God to love others, but it gets pretty hard to do.
I love kids. Young kids, who are still real and true. They could say just about anything to me and it wouldn 't hurt because it comes from a place of innocence. So if a 3rd old would say i was fat. I wouldn't care. But if and adult said it, or an adult over heard it and made a big deal and said oohhh, she didn't mean it. I would be insulted. Because the adult is obviously lying. I hate lies. And I have found that I am like the only person i know who doen't lie on a regular basis. Sry, rambling again.
proudmary, I agree that sometimes it is too one sided. It's really frustrating to be accused of being "too sensitive" by someone who is not sensitive enough. I often think, "well how would you feel if I spoke to you like that?!" They wouldn't like it either.
Are you aware of how much refined sugar you consume during the day, including in ready-made products?
I ask you this, because refined sugar directly effects how emotional I can become in certain situations. It also makes me more sensitive to other peoples' feelings. When I stop eating for a 48 hour period, I find my emotions will cool down to the point where rational thinking is much easier.
