and 2) once bought a pr of fairly good earphones for music. Their feature of outside noise cancellation means i can just put a battery in them -- and..without music even, they put me in a zone called silence.
Come to think of it, i may start using them for that more. Maybe get a lower-cost pair which are lighter-weight, and be able to carry them with me freely.(i thnk noise-cancelling headphones are catching on, and there cheap ones out there.
/ Let me know if you learn anything; now that i' starting to think about this. Noise in my case doesn't so often startle me...but a certain amoutof i and i'm frustrated or grumpy. I've noticed sometimes that turning my hearing aid off makes me calmer and more contented. Instantly. :) . . . . good luck . ((((DE))))
