Highly Sensitive People HSP Community Group
The highly sensitive person (or HSP) is someone who cares deeply about everything ... feels emotions with great intensity ... is highly conscientious ... has a rich and complex inner life ... is very intuitive ... is often creative in a variety of ways... is easily overwhelmed and/or overstimulated. A HSP needs lots of quiet time, space, and freedom. If this sounds...
As sensitive as we are I think it would make sense we are unfortunately predisposed to developing PTSD after one or more traumas. A lot of stress is not recommended for HSP's because of the havoc it causes our systems. For those of us that have spent years in stressful home environments it makes it that much easier for PTSD to develop. It isn't your fault you have PTSD or are sensitive. We are wired differently than non-HSP's.
Again, welcome! We're glad you have joined our group. Take care and be gentle with yourself:)
I work in a store and a while back this guy was shopping. I walked up to him to ask if I could help, as I got closer to him I could feel something terrible. He he did, saw or had done to him something terrible. I helped him and as he walked away the feeling got less and less. I don't remember what he looked like. About a month later in the store this guy walked up to me to ask a question. I felt that terrible feeling again but much less. I thought this is the same guy. Many other things like that has happened to me.
Thanks
