shepherd's pie. About killed my hands to peel potatoes but it's a good filling meal for me and son. It keeps for days or freezes well.

I have some 'mint sauce' left from last week too, will have with that.

I dunno what I will do for dinner....might eat out tonight.....just not sure....if I eat at home it is probably pizza although I have a dinty moore beef stew can and some canned chili as well as a couple of beef pot pies....just not sure I want to go to troubles to cook tonight....and cleaning up after....well more will be revealed....:0)

Ours was delicious, made from less than $4 ground sirloin ( reduced) $2 5 lb potatoes and $2 3 lb onions- all of which contribute to 2 meals, the shepherd's pie and a chilli tomorrow ( with a 60 c can chilli tomatoes) plus the potatoes and onions went towards a casserole earlier. Green beans were 30 c can one week so tbey were side dish.

After months of college food son is appreciative of home cooking!

I had dinner at Steak N Shake had a bowl of chili and taco salad with water....I had a $1 off coupon but the girl goofed and charged me full price....so I ended up with $2.50 tip equalling $11.15 for dinner but it was with friend after the AA meeting that I have not had much contact with for quite a while because he lives 70miles south of St. Louis now.....retired from in town job and moved to his country home....

Sounds like my chili idea is catching on! :)

Eating out just isn't in my budget now. I do have a coupon for a free chipotle salad, will use that this week.

I am back to being very frugal, I went in to see about a haircut, I'd seen a sign they were $6.99 but it was $13.99 so I did it myself; it's getting harder to rase my arms but it looks good and @ $17 saved factoring in tax and tip.
