this is a group for those of us who are challenged by getting things around the house done....come tell us what has to be done and get support to and motivation to get that task done and brag about what you have gotten done daily! It is hard for some of us to begin an easy chore but when we are doing them and get them done do you not feel like telling someone? I do!

My New Fur Rug

I'm here to say that I'm going to get rid of my new white fur rug this week. Well...actually, I'll just have him groomed. It's my father's dog--a beautiful, double-coated, Shiba Inu. He never had him groomed and the dog is 5 years old. Dad used those spray dry shampoos to keep him clean. Now, my dad is in the hospital and I have the little fur-ball living with me. My whole house is filled with white fur. I clean it up, he drops more fur, and thus, my new fur rug.

Too funny! He will be a different dog. I brush my dogs almost everyday while watching the telly and the cat. For some odd reason the cat doesn't really enjoy being brushed. LOL!

my dog Shep does not like being brushed much either...I am not so sure Tucker does either but they will let me do a bit on them but not often or much at time....but I am glad you are getting the doggie to groomer....I had Doc before and he was a long haired English Setter.....he needed brushing and boy did he shed....wowsa....I had white hair everywhere...Tucker too is a somewhat white dog...short hair English Pointer....but some white hair really shows on my bed and Shep he sheds a ton too he is med length hair red/brown doggie....

I have 2 dogs, a chow mix and a black lab and oh my, they shed like crazy! We are good about brushing but it doesn't matter, I still have to vacuum every other day to keep it under control.

I should vacuum that often myself but one time per six weeks is about my top....LOL Sadly true

Our dog is a double coat too and he is hard to brush as it is a game to grab the brush. I sweep at least 2x a day and still see hair!

And they say Shiba Inus are stubborn. The little dear refused to get out of the car. I had a hard time getting him back in the house. Will try again, but I might have to look for something to carry him in.
