has really left me in loads of uncontrolled pain.....it seems that sitting on the living room couch recliner is more comfy than my bed and if I get uncomfortable in middle of night I end up in living room for several hours to relieve pain some......

Hello. I am new to the group, so not sure of all your background. I do know all too well what it is like to try to muddle through when pain gets unbearable and surgery is next. (Not sure if that is your case?) Because of complications from a bad car accident years ago, I am familiar with artificial joints as well as the sleepless nights (usually assisted by a strategically placed pillow and some Advil if truly desperate) up until they could do something.
If you do have the tkr, you will not be sorry. May take a bit or rehab (pt), but I would look at it as the light at the end of your tunnel.

I do send thoughts, prayers and hugs your way. :)
