The first Revici protocol I tried made me feel better but did nothing for my bloodwork. I've been on a different one for 5 weeks and my ph has gotten worse and worse (almost always alkaline) She may take me off it before i even get blood done. I've been tired and feeling less well than on the first meds, so I'm not surprised it's not working. But I am disappointed.
sorry to hear that it's not working for you. I tried several protocols and finally gave up on them. I'm not sure what they are supposed to do. Maybe they work for people who eat standard american diet - I don't know. Not that they would cure Hep C, but they might make someone eating a really poor diet feel better. If there was a natural/alternative treatment that actually got rid of the virus, I would think we would know about it. The internet is a powerful information dissemination tool.
Am very interested in some of Lloyd Wrights new findings that are in his new book. I do much of his protocal and a few others. I am deciding what steps to take next.
Did anyone get his new book he offered?
I am thinking maybe Brigid, you might get some new ideas from his book. He seems more knowlegable about hep c then any doctor or gastro dr including Nd"s that i have ever been to.
THanks guys. I guess I'm back to waiting. But I'm feeling so sluggish, I may go back to the first protocol with different expectations. I'd rather feel healthy whie I'm waiting.
Kookie, I havne't read L' s book . That might be a good next step.
I read the newer book and all the others from Lloyd...I didn't find much new in the NEW book really...infact I was rather disappointed he didn't comment on several things that I know he has knowledge of...i.e. ldn, ozone and a few others...everytime I have corresponded with him he has given me specifics on why this works and that doesn't etc. so I think he could have given his opinion based on the clients he says have had this or that results..that said...I still think he is a great guy and does have mucho smarts when it comes to HCV. Still not certain about his "cure" but thats neither here or there....Im still on the heptech and not really seeing the results I want to see and Im still on the ldn....I found this gal from a poster on another site http://www.alternativehopeforhepc.com/ she is pretty interesting..thought I might drop her a line. My concern is the lfts not dropping by much....
sorry you lfts aren't dropping. and I still don't want to believe there is n't an altrnative cure out there. Let us know if you contact this new person.
An alternative treatment may "work" for someone, but there is no way to determine whether it was the regimen or other factors because its not a scientific study. Unfortunately, something that helps one person is some aspects can be harmful to another. That is why trials are done in in monitored groups, data is collected & evaluated.
If there was a magic potion out there, we'd all do it & be cured. I'm all for trying things that may help; put some small dent in the progression of hcv, but if it sounds to radical a chance for me I'll stick with what I've got.
I'm sorry you have not gotten the results you were hoping for. I'm very happy that you shared your experience with us. I like that we can support each other in our quest to be virus free or virus delayed.
Well, Ive been messaging with a lad on another site who is also on the ldn and he was having even higher lfts since starting the ldn. His were up in the 200's...his CAM doc suggested several other supplements and he just got bloodwork back and his lfts are NORMAL for the first time in his entire HCV life, which he says is about 40 years!
Thanks Gooser for the web page. Very interesting. I do alot of her protocal and more, which i feel has really helped stabalize my liver enzymes. I do believe all the milk thistle (silybum or silybin) plus tummeric (bio curcumin) i take double doses 3 times a day has really helped. I have also read on other sites that the iron levels need to be low for recovery. Mine are within normal but high normal.
When I get home I will post the ingredients and dose...I seem to be the only one on lan here do I'm guessing it would be twice ad beneficial to those not on ldn.
