Any ideas for good ice pop recipes? I got metal molds this year, so no BPA. Now I want something intersting to freeze in them. I do half water/half oj for the kids. I did pomegranate/blueberry (also cut with a lot of water) for myself last year, but it stained my teeth gray. We love sitting on the porch and watching the yard and eating them in the evening. So peaceful. Also, are the wooden sticks compostable or do I need to throw them in the garbage? (This is the one down side of the metal molds).
for my kids I used to make frozen yogurt pops with yogurt, strawberries and bananas, probably some water or juice, don't really remember exactly, it's been 20 years. I reused the wooden sticks. When they got bad they are composting, esp if you break them up. I never made ice pops. I'm thinking a nice lemonade pop would be enjoyable. Lemon, ginger, orange juice, strawberries to make them pretty pink. You could add some dandelion flowers and rose petals, spearmint, lemon balm, if you have them in the yard. Have fun!
