I got bored with this book -- too cerebral and unspiritual for my taste -- but them picked it up again and read a wonderful chapter I want to share. He talks about living in congruence w/out values. THe exercise is to make a list of adjs describing how you want to be with certain people (family, work, etc.) THen pick your top three and make them a mantra. I've been doing it, and it's really helpful. Before I meet with a client, I remind myself "compassionate, inspiring, aware" and I feel more present and engaged. And when the kids are being trying, I repeat "loving, present, creative" (I thought about choosing "patient' but that's too much of a stretch. And when I'm creative, I can come up with ways to turn the situation around.)

THat one sounds really good, too. I agree wholeheartedly about needing to integrate all parts of the self.

Great books! Couple months ago I ordered the Dark Side of the Light Chasers, and then they cancelled the order and I didn't order another one. Sounds like a good read! I'm still reading, Be Happy, it's really good too.
