Now that I'm hearing agave's not so great, I'd like to try something chocolate with stevia. Years ago I had things made by professionals that were horrid, especially the aftertaste. But maybe they're making stevia differently now? Any ideas or recipes?
What is inulin? I want the healthiest chocolate treats I can find, w/the least impact on my body/blood sugar. BTW, I always thought I was hypoglycemic just because. But then I read it can be a symptom of HCV. Any thoughts?
Inulin is a naturally occuring sugar that has recently been refined to use as a sweetener. http://www.naturalnews.com/022356.html
I guess the conclusion is RAVE.
R= no refined foods. That includes inulin, and agave, since it is the refined sugar from a cactus.
A= no animal foods. That includes eggs, meat and dairy.
V=no vegetable oils. Oil is obviously another refined food.
E=no exceptions/exercise.
I like the RAVE diet. I follow it the closest. I still have a little deviation but try to keep it to a minimum.
thanks for the hug! Very sweet. No pic for 2 reasons. One, I'm a Luddite and don't know how. Two, no one where I live knows I have it. I'm a bit paranoid of being outed. Some of my clients have tried searching for me on the internet. (I'm not on Facebook, so they didn't find me.)

had to look that one up! that would describe my muddah!
hey, i found 2 samples in the kitchen i got from iherb.
SweetFiber which is an inulin sweetener and a packet of stevia. They aren't that bad, really, just flat, after using maple syrup in my tea. I use a small amount, maybe a tsp per cup, of the maple syrup, or slightly less.
How about inulin?

looks like they are making better stevia with cleaner taste.

I found the tea tasted better when I also added a little pomegranate juice from pom wonderful.
