it's 'compliments the body's natural healing ability." that means it does nothing basically. might work from the placebo perspective i guess?
i'll ask my friend who has a phd in biophysics and has been doing research with electrical fields and the body for 25 yrs. see what he says about this?
right now he's doing a research study with electrical currents (very tiny) that will help different types of pain and i'm in the study. everyday for 30 minutes i put my hand with the arthritis into a EMF field and log how i feel afterwards.
(he's also doing research on electrical fields and bone healing/formation thats not approved for humans yet. but he used it on our friends dog with great results so there is some fascinating stuff going on in this field right now.)

I have a Stim1000 and it definitely works to stop pain temporarily. Better than taking aspirin or other pain killers.
I also joined a Yahoo group that talks about the electric currents and how they can interrupt cycles in the body. I suppose it can be good or bad, depending on how it is used.
It's a known fact that placebos work. They compliment the bady's natural ability to heal. Counterproductive thoughts can prevent a therapy from working.
the research physicist looked over the rife site and said they never mention any research data to back up their claims. he's been doing this research for 30yrs and said it's not that easy to come up with the perfect frequency. (his research is funded by DARPA...military.) anyway, he said he bets they just have a bunch of different frequencys that are hit and miss. may work if you happen upon one by accident, etc. he said there's a bunch of this stuff around that people are putting out there to make money....snake oil works cause you believe it will work. he said if you have the money to burn why not try it? the frequency is so low it can't hurt.
