BTW, We got a new kitten, and my pit mix is a saint with him -- he pounces on her tail, chews on her legs when she's trying to sleep, etc.
The sad news is that the kitten seems to have a heart condition that means he could die at any moment (There's a small chance it's something else. We'll know at the next visit.
