So mostly I'm ok about my puffy eyes. I've always had them, though they get worse with age and allergies. But I need to get new headshots for my book, and they're all coming out terrible. I used Preparation H for my wedding (the makeup lady told me it's what all the models do) but I'd rather something natural. Any ideas?
I get puffy eyes from too much salt. Have you tried eggwhite? put it on, and let it dry, then buff it out with some facial powder, don't use a water or oil base, it will get sloppy!
I don't think I have photoshop on my computer. I have Windows media something -- is tht similar? (ok, I'm letting my computer-ineptness show)
Thank you -- that is so nice of you! Unfortunately, even if I were tempted to override my paranoia that someone would recognize me, I can't seem to post photos. I'm a real computer klutz. I've tried a bunch of times and only once did I manage to post (a really cute pic of my dog when she was a puppy) I tried to do touch ups at the library but they don't have photoshop. But a friend of mine told me that all Mac computers come with a simpler photo-fix program, so she offered to do it for me. If they don't come out ok, I'll see what's next. I think i'd be more comfortable emailing it to you directly than posting it.
BTW, I don't know how to answer what I write about. Lots of different things. The subject is less important to me (though I have to be moved by something to write about it) than the music of the words and strength of the imagery. My last book was a sequence of related poems but this one is a mixed collection, written over more than a decade. I have another one coming out shortly after this one that is also related.(All the poems are in the same form, though the subjects vary.) Very long answer to a short question, sorry.
I'm going thru a temporary phase of feeling inept @ everything, LOL! Probably better than thinking I'm perfect?
Yes Brigid we are curious about your publications. We admire the talents of our friends here.
