Has anyone tried this product? I took it for about a year, and when my blood tests didn't get any better, I stopped. But I just found some bottles in my drawer and am wondering if it's worth taking, or if I should throw them out. It's supposed to increase your body's own interferon. The ingredients are:
pumpkinseed extract
Safflower flower extract
Asian plantain seed extract
Japanese honeysuckle flower extract

ah, it's shaklee! My hubby joined shaklee, without asking me, and got a couple of the monthly packs.
My biggest gripe was the vitamins are pills, not capsules. Capsules are easier to absorb. Pills have binders which can actually detract from the absorption, in my humble opinion. Plus it used the cheap form of B-12, cyanocobalamin. One of my measures is what B-12 a multiple uses, it has to be methylcobalamin or dibencozide to turn my head. Also the calcium - if it's calcium carbonate, I go elsewhere.
Then there was all the ingredients I didn't like in the hand cream.
In 2007, the Multi-Vitamin Guide was published comparing 510 different multi-vitamins for
Shaklee scored on the Multiple with Iron in position 200 with a score of 30.5%
Shaklee Multiple with Iron in Canada scored in position 230, 24.6%
and finally
Shaklee Vita-Lea Advanced Formula scored a pathetic 13.4% and made postition 332.
So, what do I think of Nutriferon? I wouldn't buy it. Have you tried muscle testing it? You can google muscle testing to see how it's done. You ask your body and get a weak signal for no and a strong signal for yes.
I just wrote a long reply that disappeared. Arggghhhh. Thanks to Mak for answering, and pl;ug for pills vs. capsules for strict vegetarians (Lots of companies don't make stuff in veggie caps.)
nah, I don't think it will hurt, but I would ask my body, doing muscle testing. Always a good idea with a new supplement. by the way, made that avocado chocolate pudding last night, with 4 avacodos, added a little maple syrup cuz the agave just isn't that sweet on the tongue. Froze 3/4 of it. wow it's yummy, and i feel fine. I ate 1/8 of it. ok, maybe a wee bit more, oink oink., LOL
oh, it was melaleuca my hubby joined, but their vitamins scored poorly too and were tablets too.
Mel's vitality pak (Mel-VIta, Mela-Cal) ranked at 402 out of 510 with only a 6.2% score.
