Does anyone know of anything to put over a tile mosaic in the kitchen that won't smell and outgas? We're renovating and I'm still gagging on the primer in the bathroom. I certainly don't want any chemicals around my food. Instead of granite countertops (which are expensive and also toxic), we're going with colorful tiles. But they need something clear over them. Any ideas?
But how do I know if they're really safe? There are so many products. The one that comes up the most is Safecaot. IS there some kind of independent agency, like Skin Deep for cosmetics?
That's a good question. I know that today it can be hard to trust anything or anyone. I think I would look for reviews, or maybe try doing a google with "safecoat danger" or something like that. Making EWG has info on the ingredients.
The ingredients look impressive, there are a few such as propylene glycol which I think is what they use in Peg interferon, isn't it? I guess what I do is try to figure out the safest way to proceed. Can I deal with a little PG? probably. Stress, I think, has been the worst ingredient for me. I'm trying to de-stress. I'm listening to Peter A. Hey, I was thinking about this today when grocery shopping and thinking about it might help if you call and talk to them. I'm sure you have a pretty good BS filter. We talked to a man the other day on the phone, and it was so obvious he was lying, we didn't even have to see his lips moving. He was fast talking, imperative, trying to overwhelm and intimidate us, not give us a chance to think or ask questions, and any questions we asked he had answers before we finished the question.. I started laughing.....it reminded me of the movie we'd just watched with Matt Damon playing a smooth talker selling lies. Promised Land
This site came up when I googled and it has several pdf files on the right side.
