Hi Everyone, I know this is a controversial item, but I'm just passing it on because there do seem to be people who actually benefit and some claim a "cure" by going undetectable.
I started taking the Monolaurin http://inspirednutrition.com a few months ago, got very good results, but still that "feeling" lingered, like there is still some viral effects present, but no real obvious symptoms which I could point to.
Anyway, I started this BHT thing once before, but became toxic from apparently taking too much, and threw the whole thing out.
But as I researched the monolaurin, I found link to a new forum with some same old members who are still at it.
Long story short, I began again, and got excellent results from the first 350 mg dose, and for days afterward, but the BHT is bioaccumulative, and if you take more that you get rid of, it builds to toxicity (for me)
So once again, I experienced a toxic build up, which subsided within one day of stopping, But now I plan to only use very small amounts, probably 175mg every other day.
The symptoms are sore muscles, slight headache, and edgy and depressed. Went away the next day.
I am saying all this, in case someone decides to go that route; just know ahead that I believe it works, but the key is dosing, and it should be small, and not to mix the protocol with other substances; keep it very very simple.
I do mention the monolaurin again, because it is very effective and well tolerated mixed with anything (including BHT), and very convenient and easy to take. And I am sure it is working alongside the BHT and on its on.
If you do go there. REMEMBER THAT YOU DON'T NEED MUCH-MORE IS NOT BETTER. I am one of those who looks for a reaction to see if something is working or not, and I get into trouble that way. (lesson learned for now)
And BHT is not for everyone, so be sure and research, and know everything first.
http://earthclinic.com is another place to check it out.

"Oral studies demonstrate that BHT is metabolized. The major metabolites appear as the carboxylic acid of BHT and its glucuronide in urine. At acute doses of 0.5 to 1.0 g/kg, some renal and hepatic damage was seen in male rats. Short-term repeated exposure to comparable doses produced hepatic toxic effects in male and female rats. Subchronic feeding and intraperitoneal studies in rats with BHT at lower doses produced increased liver weight, and decreased activity of several hepatic enzymes. In addition to liver and kidney effects, BHT applied to the skin was associated with toxic effects in lung tissue."
20% of people who get Hep C will clear the virus on their own. Please be careful. We want you to be around. Love you!
Not to say there isn't some risk. But I'll be careful and following that group to see what develops.
Selenium is another one you want to avoid taking too much of, 200-400 mcg is recommended.
Maybe the BHT raised her viral load, and maybe it would have raised no matter what. It's impossible to know.
Stress can raise viral load. A cold can most likely raise a viral load.
I was just thinking that what we should all do is play a video game where we slay dragons or wipe out viruses and get rewards for it! The good feelings should help boost the immune system and lower the viral load!.
I will stick with the Monolaurin. It is working very well by itself.
