I try to every few months...actually I wanted to get one done independently but the lab I used to get the tests done at moved up to another town....so this new protocol will have no base starting point. My last tests were in November so Im due anyhow.

I was getting mine done every few months, then felt it was a waste of money, so I went to once a year. It's been a year now.

Liver Function Tests Mak....aka alt/ast/bilirubin/albumin etc. I detest waiting for results!

I get the blood tests and an MRI every 6 months, along with a lecture about why I should get tx. My MRI is scheduled for tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the cirrhosis hasn't worsened.

get mine every 3 months, alt/ast always near normal, not like when first diagnosed, alt was 496, but that was back in my drinking days! now its rarely over 45, shows just how much inflammation the booze can cause.

for the past couple of years every 6 months. i see the liver doctor next week and will find out i keep on getting them?

Ok, yeah, I've gotten just the LFT;s sometimes. It's cheaper that way.

Me too LFT every 6mo, that reminded me to
look at my spread sheet and yep I'm due.

Yes it does reassure me that the stuff I'm
putting in my body is keeping me at least
with consistent numbers. If something spikes
then is off to the hep dr. But I have a deal
with my family dr just to do the labs. I don't
need to get the tx lecture either.

Between 6mos - 12mos. VL once per year & its free. My labs are so stable , 12mos is enough.
