I saw a dr. today who said to get vaccinated for HEp A and B, that if I (or anyone with HCV) got Hep A, there's a 40% chance of death. I'm pretty anti-vaccine as a rule, but it is easy to get Hep A (and I eat out whenever I'm working). What did you guys do?

My good news is that my fibroscan was 6.9 -- almost no damage!

I had my vaccinations for Hep A and Hep B. Figured it was worth the risk. I had no problems from the 3 shots.

I avoid flu shots, have a very adverse reaction: I passed completely out immediately on a full dose. 3-5 seconds....next year they insisted on giving me a half dose. I swooned, had to sit down, the world went black.

I need one for Hep A. It costs between 50-80 per vial here, you have to go back for a 2nd shot. The Health Dept has the least expensive here @ $50 ea.
It is very easy to contract hepA & would be terrible for me - cirrhosis.

I too got the hep a and hep b vaccine and had no reaction

I got it at SL Health center for low income people, I think I paid $25 for both.
