Hi everyone,
My husband just put up a tree swing on the back of our property for me. I try to walk the dogs around the property daily and the swing is at the halfway point. So the last few days I have been giving my swing a Ride. Did you know that when you swing on a Big.(..ooops there goes my stomach.)..whoop de do swing you cannot frown or be in a bad mood? It always puts a smile on my face. Skipping has the same effect on me. I have a long-time, good friend who will skip with me. In the grocery store. In parking lots. Whenever I dare her, she is always up for it. I love to wakeboard too. Swerving in the water on a summer day is exhilarating.
So if we need to keep our attitudes up, to keep our immune systems healthy, lymph system flowing so we can be the Happiest, Healthiest Heppers possible, what are your tricks for putting a smile on your face?
I would love to hear your stories.
I will be thinking of you while I am Trying to get more Air on my Swing tomorrow
Peace
Cassie
We were just at costco, swinging on the garden swing, what fun. We were thinking about getting one for our living room, toss the couch.... LOL Hubs and I do a lot of skipping. One time I was running and playing chase with him in the grocery store parking lot, and he got close, I squealed with delight, and almost peed my pants!
What a great topic! Swinging is so joyful. I don't get to do it anymore as we don't have our own swing and neither daughter wants to sit in my lap at the park-- "that's for babies!". When I swing by myself it embarrasses them. But thank you for reminding me == Im smiling at the body memory.
Playing catch with the dog is pretty cool. And when a group of dogs at the park break into a run, I always smile.
Yes shadowdance, it was very sweet of him to put up the swing in a big Tree!
Skipping is so nice and portable. And it is easy to sneak in. Just quick little skipping bursts : )
Regular, routine class exercise has pulled me out of the swamp. We know exercise releases endorphins, the class is social interaction, structure of time & commitment, sense of accomplishment, & a body by pilate - who wouldn't be smiling?
Actually I do 9 yoga classes a week, 1 pilates @ gymn & pilates @ home when inspired. The Gulf is now 68F so guess the old surf board will get a work out, too.
