I know this is a conventional treatment, but it seems much less harsh than triple and some people are experiencing no side effects. Do you guys know something Big Pharma isn't telling us, 'cause it sounds really promising.
Llook at pesticides. Have you ever seen one that gets rid of all the bugs? What happens when mosquitoes, for instance, are treated with pesticides over and over? The weak ones die and the strong ones escape and develop a resistance to the pesticide. Now the farmer/whoever, has a bigger problem with stronger and more aggressive mosquitoes, so he uses a stronger pesticide. What happens? Same thing. The weaker ones die and strong ones escape and develop a resistance. In other words, they mutate in order to survive. Survival is the prime directive. Every species has in their DNA the will to survive. Try to swat a fly, and if it sees the swat coming, it will fly away.
The virus also has a prime directive to survive. When the drugs/viricides (as opposed to pesticides) are used in the body, the weak viroids are killed, and the stronger or luckier ones mutate to survive. Then what's left in the body at the end of treatment are the mutants. They can hide out for years. Maybe some of them can actually mutate so they stay in the liver and never get detected with a blood draw, I don't know, I'm just speculating here. But the virus, according to news articles, or medical journal articles, which I can no longer find, it was a few years ago; anyway, the virus is found in the livers of the deceased who were diagnosed with an undetectable viral load.
Does that mean that drugs are bad? Not necessarily. It's a personal choice whether to spray for bugs or use natural means. It's a personal choice whether to treat a virus with drugs or natural means. Knowing this allows a person to make an educated choice. We talked about this in our local support group, along with pictures and printed matter, so it's probably common knowledge among the medical doctors treating for Hep C.
This consequent mutation during drug treatments is why so many studies want treatment naive participants: they have not built up a resistance or created the conditions for mutation of the virus during a failed treatment. It's also why treating genotype 1, for instance, has been for 48 weeks - they are trying to get them all. They continue to treat after SVR is reached to keep the mutants from surviving and rebuilding the colony. Still it's a mixture of skill (reliable drugs and duration of treatment) and luck (the disposition, lifestyle, diet and attitude of the patient) that will ultimately determine the success or failure of drug treatment, and for that matter alternative treatments.
All the good dietary, exercise, sleep and supplements will not be effective if a person is prone to angry outbursts and rage or is prone to be depressed and melancholy on a regular basis. Remember your worth! Be happy! Find a reason every day to laugh and let go of fear, anxiety and anger when they confront you. Replace them with love, joy and happiness! Perhaps this alone will control the virus and allow a person to live a long healthy life. Thus spake Stephen Buhner in Herbs for Hep C and the Liver.
By the way, did you know that if you type "dailystrength" and the topic of a discussion you wish to find, that Google will often find it for you? To find that link, I typed "dailystrength living in harmony" in the Google search engine.
What's the use of worrying, it never was worthwhile....
IDX oral looks promising! Although they have done studies in conjunction with Interferon and Ribivarin, it appears they are looking at maybe 2015 for doing them without.
