Over the past couple months, I've heard three people rave about these and say they cured long-term chronic illnesses. They're expensive, but some places (like the health food store in my county) give free water for a few weeks to get you hooked. A friend of someone I know who has Hep C says it's allowed him to to live in equilibrium with the virus, where it doesn't harm him. (That and Quigong). I can't do it, since I'm trying to get my body more acid, but I'm throwing it out to everyone else. A client of mine who was on heavy drugs for sarcoid has been drinking the water for a few weeks and is off 80% of her medication.
Also, if you guys don't mind, if there;s anyone who tests their ph anyway (I know Mak said you did) w ould you mind checking before each meal for a couple days and tell me what you get. My diet is healthy but it's not totally alkaline. Even after eating bread, oatmeal, corn, chocolate, i still test alkaline. Which gives some credibility to the theory that, with chronic illness, the body's ph gets stuck. But I'm wondering if it's the same for others.
I've heard that disease is an acid condition most of the time.
I personally think that it should be the food you eat, not the water you drink, that makes you alkaline.
I've tested my pH different times of the day. Usually in the morning it's more on the acid side and during the day and evening it's on the alkaline side. This is what I've read is appropriate pH. But sometimes it's different. It goes back to 7-7.5 eventually.
I've heard of people taking baking soda alkaline water for cancer, but it's a short term thing.
I also think that people want to believe what they are doing is working and will say things to support that belief. Then there is the placebo effect: if you think it will help, it just might, even though it's a sugar pill.
My mom offered to pay my sister 50 cents for a wart she had on her hand. My sister agreed. My mom said, Now you can't keep it, cuz I bought it and it's mine. It disappeared. It was a good sized wart too.
I wonder if any of those people would have had the same results with juicing and dietary changes. Most people are hung up on the food they love and don't want to change. My friend with the alkaline water machine still smokes and eats most anything. She gets hung up on one thing, like it's going to change everything. I remember when she got hung up on golden flax seed meal. :-)
