http://www.ihealthtube.com/aspx/viewvideo.aspx?v=47170cf2f0950528 Btw, I will say it again, I am convinced that the oil is the really sure way to get it inside in the way it can actually be used.
Oil does help with nutrient absorption, I think that is true. I generally put coconut oil, tahini, or olive oil in my veggies. Tonight I had 2 quarts of baby salad greens with cabbage and carrot, with a tahini dressing. I ate an oat cake. I sauted a large onion in coconut oil. I steamed an eggplant, whizzed it up in the food processor with onion, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, parsley and chilis. I stirred some of the eggplant hummous into the onions. WOW! that sure was good, wished I'd made more onions! Since I started using more oil, I've lost 10 pounds. go figure..... :-)
I'm going to do a liver flush here pretty soon, which uses magnesium, olive oil and grapefruit juice to clean out the bile ducts in the liver. Jolly good time! LOL Magnesium relaxes the ducts so that the stones can pass out without discomfort.
I do the same liver cleanse a few times a years. I really believe it has given me the relatively good blood tests, (along with other stuff, of course)
Imho, therapies do not work as well if the liver is plugged. I was dismissed years ago by an internal medicine MD, who said, "your liver is enlarged" and he wasn't saying it as if he wanted to do something about it, either,
At that point, I figured I had nothing to lose, because he was so dismissive; as if: you're done for........
So I got the nerve to drink the Epsom salt, water, thinking I would probably croak overnight, but next morning hundreds of "stones" were released, and the liver went back to normal.
Anytime I feel torpid and sluggish in the liver, I do one and it straightens me out.
Btw, when I say magnesium "oil", it's actually water, but it has an oil consistency somewhat. It is thick with magnesium. To make it, you lightly heat the salt/minerals in a pan just until they dissolve in water.
I agree, you may get enough from diet if your absorption is good, but if you are one who's innards and metabolism are kind of subpar, and or your diet is not optimal, and you are ill and stressed, which uses up even more mag than usual, then my suggestion would be to flood your body with the oil, which you could make happen quickly by coating the skin with oil;
If you needed a lot in a hurry, (for example, one session will stop severe leg cramps overnight, as well as insomnia) the amount needed would not get absorbed by going the oral route, and you would get the runs first.
what kind of magnesium do you use to make the "oil"? I know that magnesium is slikkery. I have been in isolation tank water which is full of magnesium, very relaxing.
My flush was great. I woke up several times, but the next day I had a whole lot of energy and felt better. Was surprised that I didn't get that many stones. Lots of small ones and not any large ones.
What you are saying about rubbing the magnesium oil on the skin, is kind of like taking a bath in it. I generally will use about a quart in the bath. Very relaxing.
You can buy either the magnesium salt/mineral/flakes in the bag and make your own for less, or they also sell the "oil" already mixed.
With the salt/flakes, you add it to water and slowly heat and stir until it dissolves. (fast)
YUMMY! I loved young Paul Newman. Although my mind went to a movie where Burt Reynolds coated himself with vaseline....Demi Moore, oh yeah, Striptease. giggle

Much cheaper this way, I like it because I can use plenty to get a therapeutic dose. A few years ago, I had insomnia really bad, and the severe leg cramps........
This oil straightened me out overnight. Now, I do it 2-3 times a week. I coat my whole body (just visualize a young Paul Newman if it helps)(that's pretty close) and let it soak in for about 20 minutes.
