sure miss everyone who i use to chat with.
I have been doing good although it took a while for the riba to get out of my system after the 6 month treatments with the vikera pac + riba. My life has always been full of ups and downs, but this hcv has been the hardest to deal with.
With every 'down' in life God always brings me through and over. It has been an adventure that through it all i am becoming a different person for the better. I have soo learned compassion and empathy as i so need it myself.
Hi girls! I guess I've just been kind of burnt out. After keeping this site for 7 years while I waited for a good treatment, actually getting the Harvoni, clearing the virus, then relapsing, and being tested and having RAV Y93N, which is 10 times more resistant than the other Ravs, I just kind of went into a funk.
I miss everyone too. As I typed that I looked over to see hubs falling asleep on the couch! LOL
It has been quite the trip. I have learned an awful lot about nutrition. And I am doing better now than before, even with the virus being back, the Y93N variant doesn't seem to be as hard on my liver as the Genotype 1A virus was. I'm not quite sure how it all plays out, but the gist is this: Y93N is a mutation of the 1A genotype, and is wild, and the 1A dominates the scene. Harvoni wiped out 1A, but missed the Y93N virus completely, and now it has taken over as the dominant virus in my liver/body. It will take a couple of years for the 1A virus to dominate again, according to what I have read, although that leaves me with the question: if 1A was wiped out, how can it come back? But the literature says it can take up to 2 years for Y93N to go away.
So what does that mean? If it goes away, am I left with 1A or will I be cleared? It's a mystery.
Meanwhile I'm just doing the best I can, eating right, exercising, and taking care of me and hubs.
Hello Kathy, I think of you often and you are in my prayers. I understand what you are saying about the burn-out and the discouragement of relapse.
You are blessed that you have lots of knowledge about healthy eating. I didn't but because of you and this group i have learned soo much.
You have touched soo many people in soo ways with your knowledge and love. Thank you soo much for all you have given me. I know you will be blessed. The love you have given us WILL come back to you. It is just one of those things weather you are a christian or not. what you give always comes back.
I am so glad your home was saved. God knows how much we can bear and has promised to never give us more then that without providing a way out. I am believing a healing for you.
So glad you are still here with us. We need your strength and knowledge to get us through. Love to you.
Thanks, kookie, I believe that we can benefit from hardships, yes, but I don't believe that adage that God never gives us more than we can handle. Sometimes it is more than we can handle, people die of cancer all the time and it's getting more and more people all the time. We suffer, it's part of life.
Do you know the story of the Buddha? He was a prince, he name was Siddhartha. Growing up in a palace, his father did not want him to be affected by suffering, so he led a sheltered life and only knew happiness. Then when he became an adult, they had a procession through the city, and the king was very strict about hiding all the suffering and making sure the streets they went through reflected perfection.
But then a crippled person snuck in to watch the procession. Siddhartha saw him and immediately was affected and curious. The person disappeared between the buildings, and Siddhartha followed him and soon was surrounded by suffering people, sick, lame, disfigured, etc. This broke his heart and he left the palace and spent many years sitting under a Boddhi tree in meditation, and asking God to help him understand, and thus he became enlightened and became the Buddha.
