I was glad to see a Mystery Diagnosis on Hashimoto's Thyroiditis last night. The woman on there was fortunate enough that after three months on the thryoid hormone her energy level was back to normal and her other symptoms were much better. I sure wish that would be the case with me. I have been on it for a few years now and still have some issues with fatigue and muscle pain. I take it I am not the only one to struggle with symptoms after being on medication for a while?
I watched it and thought about what I felt like when I was pregnant and my symptoms, then I stated talking to my mother about family history and she told me my grandmother had her thyroid removed...then she told me she had mild hypothyroidism and I though hmmmm..so I asked my doctor to check and I was told I did indeed have it.
