so this has been an issue. He offers me a snack, for example tonight it was triscuits and cheese, he had like 15 chz/triscuit set ups, he says, " babe, would you like some? "I said yes just like 1 will be fine." I'm into my show and when I go to get one he's inhaled every last one of them, I asked did you save me one? He said no it looked like you were busy. He asks, it seems just to make him feel as if he's being considerate when on numerous occasions I say yes I'll take a bite or I'll have one just save me some or save me one, but there's never any left. This is only with food by the way. So say we're out to dinner, he eats off of my plate before he will his own. He asks first but says my order looks better than mine. He'll eat his then start on what I don't eat, so unlike a gentleman, which is the way he presented himself like the first few months of dating. So I have two kids and he doesn't have any and we all live together. We share the grocery bill, however when he goes grocery shopping he gets thinks he thinks we won't like. For example, he knows me and my kids like sweet tea but not flavored sweet tea, such as raspberry tea etc. well he'll get flavored tea knowing none of us like it to keep it all for himself. Before he knew how much this bothered me, once when he had went grocery shopping he said I'm hoping the boys don't like...whatever, I believe it was like a yogurt type drink and hid them away in the door of the refrigerator at the very bottom hoping the kids wouldn't see them. That disgusted me! Turns out my son found them and ended up liking them very much, so he says I'll get fat free or a flavor he's not too fond of. Another thing say I've cooked dinner for all of us, I make sure I eat last and everyone else's plates are made first, whatever's left I'll have. This comes from me growing up poor, my mom a single mom of 6 kids trying to make sure we were all fed before she fed herself, if there was food left she'd eat if not she'd make a sandwich or something simple instead of enjoying the 3 course meal she'd provided. Anyways, so I make my kids plates and his, he scarfs his down then will eat one of my sons plates when he excuses himself to go to the restroom or what have you, them he claims oh well I thought he was finished. Now, in the beginning I thought this was genuinely true but no it's not. If we were down to nothing and there was say a slight ounce of food in the house he would feed himself before putting even the children before himself. He looks out for him before anyone and it's frustrating. I've expressed that I felt he is greedy when it comes to food but he says I didn't think it was such a big deal.
For me it's not so much the food it's the principle. Please help with any advice on how to get through this
