I wanted to talk about the picture I chose for this site because it means so much to me! I choose this picture because it is the closest representation of what I exprienced when I briefly died several years ago. When I died I went to a place that was full of love and everyone was so happy to see me! I felt overwhelmed and humbled and even though I was extremely grateful and happy to see these beautiful Angels of people I kept wondering why do these people love me so much? I'm not special but they made me feel special and for the first time in my life, I felt loved!
I am so grateful to be here with you right now and I hope that I can help you along your difficult road of life that is why I created this site! Getting back to the picture, I wanted to find something that is warm, inviting, full of love and joy and I hope the picture I chose represented what I experienced the day I briefly went to Heaven!
I always have this joke I play on Christians I let them know that for a precious few moments I was in Heaven and then got kicked out, haha. They always say to me "You deserve to get Kicked out, you're a witch!" and I usually laugh and gently tell them that I didn't get kicked out of Heaven because I did something wrong. I got kicked out because it wasn't my time to be there!
Somehow those beautiful people of Heaven knew I had faith in them! I have faith in God and because I have a Christian background I believe I saw Jesus too and He was the one that approached me with loving arms and such a gentle happy smile on His face. He was the one that said "Nixie why are you here? You're not supposed to be here yet! I have to take you back to Earth so that you can live the rest of you life in love and peace! Nixie if you can, let the people that I love them as much as I love you and try to be kind to the people you meet" I was awe struck and this magnificient royal king sensed my concern so he said "Don't worry if people accept me or reject me, just show them the love that I and my royal subjects shown you!"
And that is the story of how the rest of my life revolves around those 3 precious few minutes I was in Heaven with incredible people who loved me and I loved back!
I'm very happy to be a Christian, but when I got back to Earth I went on an incredible journey and researched as much as I could all the 1000's of religions that are in this world and if I was lucky I got a chance to talk to people of other faiths to see what their views of the Divine God or Goddess is like to them and their hopes of Heaven, Summerland, Shangri-La. It was a really eye opening and wonderful experience to have, there are so many people like me, from all the different spectrum of faiths that are trying to search for the meaning of life and what happens to us when after we pass on to the beyond?
I am so excited about this site and I hope the experiences I have to share can help you on your journey as well. I made so many mistakes, but I wouldn't trade any of them in because it helped me grow as a person! I didn't want to leave Heaven but I am so glad I am here because I can tell you about all the things that are worth living for, it just take times to see the good in all the bad we have to go through, but hopefully in time we can see what we are all about.
I have to go very soon but before I do I want to make a final comment of the picture I selected to share with you my hopes and dreams of what future churches and groups of people can do to make you feel welcome and loved!
I want to share a vision with you in the form of a question? Have you ever walked by a picnic area that looks like it might be a family reunion where everyone is eating laughing, hugging eachother and there is festive music playing around them? Then someone from the group spots you and they come running to you and give you a big hug and say "Welcome Home! We are so glad you came here we thought you'd never arrive!" and then you say something like "I'm so sorry I'm not part of your family I'm just taking a walk in the park and happen to see your party I didn't mean to intrude!" Finally the loving person says "Well your family now, come on in we have plenty of food and everybody wants to meet you!
That is the kind of church I want to belong to! Can you help me make this dream come true?
But, that is only within my church. Yes, I have been to a few other churches where this is the "norm." But, unfortunately, those are few and far between.
The World has Jaded too many people.
But, it is something we can work toward!!!
