being in a relationship with someone who has a "drinking problem" can be challenging and even unhealthy...it is why groups like codependents anonymous and al anon were created, you may want to begin there.
one thing i learned from going to way to many 12 step meetings is that when we are in unhealthy relationships...it is often because , we ourselves, are in an unhealthy place. If we decide to get better and work on ourselves, our partner will often become upset because they want the old, unhealthy person and relationship...
u have taken the first step already so please don't be afraid..proud of u and hope u find the support and guidance to deal with your life stressors...keep posting, take care
i understand about the drinking problem. not an easy thing to work with, i know.
i am woking on myself, getting back to a more normal state, gonna take a while for me, but, i have hope.
