There is good news though. Yesterday I went to the pain clinic I usually go to for my nerve disorder and back pain. They did not want to touch my back until my neurologist was done trying to help, but I also told them about my head. I told them that my headache was at that point there for 42 days. I said that my head hurt, pressure on my head helps, hitting my head helped (weird I know but it focused the pain for a while so it didn't hurt so much), and strong scents helped a lot. The doc asked if they had tried a simple procedure and I told him no. He put lidocaine gel on a long q-tip (the wood stick ones docs use) and stuck one in each nostril, all the way up to my forehead. He left them up there for 15 minutes. When he took it out my headache was GONE. Completely gone. For the first time in 42 days my head didn't hurt. It has been almost 24 hours sense the procedure and it still does not hurt. He told me it can reset issues like that. Your brain gets so used to the pain that it thinks it is normal and keeps it that way, but if you can shut off the pain for long enough it may help your brain realize that the pain is not correct and reset the brain so that the pain is no longer there. He also said if the pain came back I can walk into his office and he will do it again. If it helps the second time he will teach me how to do it myself so I can stay out of pain.
Thanks BMW. I am sorry about your issues, and I really appreciate your support.
Thanks tyzz27. I am sorry that you were in pain so long. That is horrid. Maybe if it happens again the thing they did for me may help you, but I am glad it did go away. I am not all that open to the god stuff (really, why would an all powerful being who is supposed to love every person he creates make a 12 year old have a stroke, aneurism pop, brain surgery to fix the aneurism that left me partially blind, with seizures, and a lot more medical issues, plus an abusive mother who did everything but sexual abuse, to the point sometimes I made her mad at me when she was mad at my brother so she would hit me and not him, so he never knew the abuse, even hitting my head not a year out of brain surgery). It is hard for me to believe in a god that is supposed to be all powerful and forgiving to do that to a child. But I am glad prayer helped you. Thanks for your support.
seemad, thanks for your support as well. I am sorry you were in pain for so long and they did not diagnose you, migraines are terrible. I will try to keep you all updated as time goes on.
