Hey there its alright you can be gay and still go to church. Why do the people at your current church there dont except you or they hate you. If so and if you can go to another church as long it's your same religion near by where the people dont know you and then start over just make sure this time they dont find out you are gay. But if they dont care you are gay then continue and go. I believe god will forgive everyone as long as they believe in him and ask for forgiveness. But its up to you its just my opinion because no one knows I am bisexual at my church so I dont have your experience sorry.

I agree with what Analu82 and Hazzierainbow had to say. No one at my church knows that I am Bisexual but I have felt like not going to church lately I want to find a church that feels more like home to me.

I understand your pain. I could not go back to my church because when I told my now ex-husband that I knew I was a lesbian, he, his mom, and a few members of the church tried to pray the gay away. So let's just say I didn't feel comfortable there. I am not angry with anyone there, but I knew I couldn't attend church there anymore. I looked online for churches that accepted homosexuality. I was lucky enough to find two. I have found a new church home. The people there are awesome and accepting. If I can't make it to church on Sunday, then I just catch the sermon online. Sometimes it's better that way because it allows me to listen to God, and if I get emotional, no one sees it. I hope you find a church home.

I agree with HR. You are exactly how God made you. Do not let him down and do not elt yourself down. God is love. Change to a church that is accepting, because an accepting church is what God's love is all about. Do not go after folks who want to change you.

I am sorry to hear that you feel lost. I know what it feels like to be lost it is an unsettling feeling. I will pray for you that you will find your way again. The Unitarian Universalist church will be a welcoming place to go you might want to check out a UU church near you. Everyone is right. You are who you are, and you are how God made you. If you line in the US and are looking for a church there is a website called www.gaychurch.org that will lead you to gay affirming churches in your state.

I had a bad experience at church camp one year when my pastor told me that I act to feminine and that I brought negative attention to the kingdom of God because others talked and made fun of me. It was a devastating blow; one I think I'm still trying to recover from in a couple ways. This pastor judged me and i felt horrible for a few days. But with support from friends and family I got over it.

I don't go to church now. Reason being that I don't feel spiritually ready to; I'm also going to seek a gay affirming church that will fit my spiritual needs. But when I do, I can go with the knowledge that the good Lord loves me for how he made me.

I'm sure you will get through this. Remember: God doesn't give us more than we can handle.
