Having a gastric sleeve can either be a great experience with great results, or a total nightmare with possible ok results. What I can't stress enough is to research your doctor! The total nightmare part is if end up in the small percentage that develops GERD. Aka hoooooorible acid reflux, heartburn, gas... It's the worse. If you're lucky enough to not get it AND you follow post op instructions and change your eating habits PERMANENTLY, you.ll do great! As for GERDS, the closest thing to relief is sleeve revision to bypass. Saved my life, although that comes with challenges as well. Please feel free to add your story and or ask questions.
