Not much left in my garden except the fall stuff and some spinach I planted for next spring. I put buckwheat in as a cover crop where the potatoes and onions were, the tomatoes are still coming on but the plants look real sorry and the fruit is funny looking and it doesn't taste good any more. We got too much rain and not enough heat. The okra is losing its leaves. The beans are still strong but we're tired of eating them (next year the row will be shorter). Those pesky cabbage worms are eating my kale, I just can't get ahead of them. I hate to spray, anyone have success with organic means? My fall crop of lettuce, spinach, turnips and kale is off to a good start, I got a tunnel for the kale but I'm not too optimistic, I'll let you know how it helps.
