The girls are fine and tired from yesterday. This morning I focused on the garden. Pulled a lot of weeds and put down some stuff to kill the rest.

I had some black plastic leaf bags from last year so I cut out one side, then the remaining corner, to put around my peppers and tomatoes. Fiance put down some of that black rolled stuff over where the corn will grow. The black helps warm the ground too so it's good for all plants.

We will take up the rolls and move to a new area as needed. I got some organic preen to put down to help prevent weeds from coming back. All this wet weather is bad for the garden. I can't get the corn planted or keep up with the weeds.

I did notice lots of volunteer tomatoes (ones that reseeded from last year) so I dug them up and moved them. There is so much more work to be done but I was tired and muddy so I came in the house and cleaned up. I guess I'm going to go cook some chicken legs now.

*Sigh* it's a constant battle, me and the garden.
