I had a busy day yesterday. I'm off on Wednesday so I cram in as much work as possible. I went to the gym before noon, showered, then went shopping with fiance. He found all kinds of deals at one of our local farm supply stores, then we went to another farm store, and Walmart before I had to go to hair appointment.

We got some killer containers. They were actually glazed terracotta, not plastic. I got 3. 2 big ones for the porch in bright emerald green. One is to plant a small rasberry bush in that we got almost free. The other has little peek outs in it. He wanted to get some cayenne chilies, so I thought it would be pretty to plant those in there with maybe some herbs and alyssum. I also have this black eyed Susan vine I need to plant somewhere. The other pot I got for my mom, it's teal and small with peek outs. She will plant hen and chicks in it. I plan to work on the pots on the porch tonight since it will be raining.

Last night I finally got the flower bed in front of the porch weeded, planted, and the border straightened up. I still have to stack the border and mulch, but I ran out of light so that can wait. I finally found a stirrup how at Walmart of all places. Can you imagine how tired I was of saying I needed a nice hoe, not a cheap crappy one that breaks halfway thru the job? Or a stirrup hoe so my back wouldn't hurt as much? No one knew WTH I was talking about and just laughed because it sounds so dirty. *Sigh*
