And it was on this day in history ... that we finally printed out the Declaration of Independence.
July 4th isn't just the day of American Independence. In Rwanda, they call it Liberation Day, celebrating the end of the Rwandan Genocide and the beginning of their new government.
It's also the date the United States recognized the Philippines as an independent state, and the day is now known there as " Republic Day."
