I have heard both theories Unicorn, ie) health/age and the scandals. But what I have heard more recently makes even more sense to me,(in light of their very long association with both the Illuminati and the Masonic Order) and that is, that the Vatican is being manipulated to accept some 'less than conservative' thinking on some social issues! Now anyone may fill in the blanks, OR just look back on the hottest buttons during the recent election! Having followed this triumvirate for years, I'll go with #3!

I'm curious to hear your thoughts Unicorn, and anyone else out there in FTTE land!!

Well, I have different theories. I watched Glenn's video to add to my theories. Here they are...........

Initially, I thought it was really about his health. Then I thought about it and said to myself - he did this too quickly, something else has to be here. Then I heard of all the rumors of gay relationships, and all the ridiculous politics going on there.

To sum up, I think it is a combination of health, relationships and politics. - health being the least of it.

Unicorn- - What are all the scandals going on at the Vatican? I have not heard of any.

Carol and Unicorn, The Masonic Order is simply an organization that has been placed as a group to promote good family values and morals. The Masons, for decades, have been deluged with all sorts of negative thinking. As an organization it has withstood all sorts of wrong ideas on what it actually is. My Man joined the Masons many years ago. It is the first step one must take to be prepared to join the Shriners. Fund raising is the main thrust. They need monies to support their hospitals. Their hospitals give out free medical treatment for children with many types of ailments. They not only provide free operations for the various type of ailments that get our youth of the nation down. They also, when needed provide free housing for the family of the patient. They do not cover every type of ailments. But what they do provide is excellent medical treatments. I am not a spokesperson for the Masons and the Shriners. But I can definitly Tell you that to mix up the Masons and the Catholic religion together is just flat wrong. Are you aware of the fact that many of our Presidents are Masons?
Concerning Pope Benedict retiring. The reason for his retirement is how it was stated. His health. To imply that his stepping down is some underlying thing or some sinister plot is not only laughable but totally silly. This is my opinion

Yrod, I am sorry for my comments about the Masons in connection with the Church, this was not the time nor the place to bring controversial issues to bear on current events, and especially in a group that is meant to support ppl rather than upset them. I truly am sorry for not being more thoughtful.

I heard his last speech to the people and found some profound statements. I do think he's tired and his health is failing. Yes there are scandals, as there are in many churches. He says he will spend the rest of his life in prayer for the church.

His words...
Wearing his traditional white vestments, he told the huge crowd: “There were moments of joy and light but also moments that were not easy ... there were moments, as there were throughout the history of the Church, when the seas were rough and the wind blew against us and it seemed that the Lord was sleeping.”

He spoke of being reluctant when chosen. Huge responsibility with that job!

My prayers are with him for his health and for the Church.

I really believe there's a combination here.. Because he is in such frail health I think its difficult for him to deal with the gay rumors and leakage that's going on behind the scenes at the Vatican. I dont mean to imply that he's shirking his responsibities - I just think its too much for him to handle.
