Money - with money you can buy gas !!!

Could it depend on where and/or when you ran out of Gas?

Well that does present another dimension to the question.

I have seen times I would have given all my money for a gallon of gas:-}

So true! Amazing how that's always where the car decides to break down too.

Chesty - you would need money to buy that gallon of gas - at least in NY - here they're not so giving.

during the hurricane in Texas i had money but there was no gas to be had every station was out of gas i had money but could not buy gas there was no electricity to pump the gas .
we had money but we were stuck on a freeway with 1,000s of car all running out of gas and even if we had gas we could not go any where to spend the money .most places were closed and we were stuck in the non moving traffic on the freeway.

Gas would have been priceless then. We had a shortage here during one of the hurricanes. The pipeline that supplied us was closed and stations had no gas. The few stations that did were quickly depleted. Everyone topped off their tanks after driving all around town to find gas. I can only imagine how it was there.

Arline,When I was much younger,I once myself in the wrong place at the wrong time out of gas.
My life pretty much dependent on a speedy departure.
When gas equals life expectancy money does not seem quite as important!
Thank God for friends.
Of course later things were back to normal and money was once again my top priority;-}
