You may have heard in the news that
a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say

' IN GOD WE TRUST '

The law, " they " say, is being violated..

Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio
station show, that we should all write


' IN GOD WE TRUST '
on the back of all our mail.


After all, that's our National Motto,
and -----
on all the money we use to buy stamps.

We think it's a wonderful idea.


We must take back our nation from all
the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.

Barb, What a great idea. I have written a letter to a friend. I will go and write this on the envelope right now. I will write this on the bills that we send off. I am really tired of "those people" I understand that "they" have rights just the same as all of us do. But enough is enough.

Love it...'they' are the ones that do not want to abide by our laws and the way things have always been done. IMHO: Maybe 'they' need to read up on things or find another place to live. Other countries are not changing their laws and way of living based on protestors...only the USA! Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone....just tired of everything we know and believe in being protested or overturned!

If I may play devil's advocate for one second...there is such a thing as separation of church and state and freedom of religion does not just mean people are permitted to practice their chosen religion but also that others cannot push their religious beliefs on others which in essence means our own national motto is against the law because there are some who do not believe in God or believe in different versions of a god that they call a differnt name and they are entitled to that...technically, one could argue that requiring someone to swear on a bible in court or recite the pledge of allegiance is infringing on their religious rights. I can understand why some might complain about the signs. Just because something's always been done a particular way doesn't make it right or proper by way of the actual laws of the country.

I agree with you Tes....people have different beliefs and should be given the opportunity to worship in any way they please, to anyone they please. BUT... Instead of making changes to everything our country has stood for maybe there should be a law written to allow anyone not believing in "God" the option to not have to swear on the Bible or to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, or participate in anything they are not comfortable with. I have friends of another religion and I respect their choices as they do mine. I just feel our country has made too many changes based on protests. The USA should still have the right to stand for something. Not only religion but everything is questioned now and if we continue to change all of our laws....what will become of our country??? Most likely, it will be no more.
