This is just another way of saying what Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day. He said they were White washed Tombs. Meaning that they looked good on the outside, but He and God knew what was in their hearts.

He went on to say it is not what a man puts into their bodies, but shat proceeds from a man's heart that makes him what he is.!!
